Watch how much fun it is to participate in a CitiDance!

Six countries, one song

Random people picked on the streets of six countries and filmed dancing to the same one song.

Cities filmed in:
Vilnius, Lithuania
Riga, Latvia
Tallinn, Estonia
Helsinki, Finland
Stockholm, Sweden
Copenhagen, Denmark

What about Oslo, Norway? Well, I walked the streets of Oslo’s center for 3 hours, not even one soul agreed to participate in this project… It’s very sad that Oslo produced this timid kind of mindset that even many youngsters said categorically no to dancing.. Conclusion? Norway is way behind when it comes to freedom of the mind, which, by the way, starts in the expression of the body.

What is CITIDANCE?

CitiDance is a music video project for people who enjoy spontaneous dancing on the streets. It allows to capture the fun through dance in the otherwise typical day. The idea is for everyone to enjoy the moment of dancing so that people passing by are inspired to join the dance as the music plays to the end of the song.
How it's done: Random people are offered to film a music video of them dancing through the streets. The music is played through portable speakers hanging on the neck of the camera operator, allowing mobility to roam around the streets while filming. Result is a fun music video of you dancing with complete strangers. Hey, you only live once :)
